Aitor Karanka: 'Expect Nottingham Forest to be exciting'

Head coach Aitor Karanka says that supporters should expect Nottingham Forest to play exciting football in the Championship next season.

Head coach Aitor Karanka has predicted that Nottingham Forest will play "nice football" during the upcoming campaign.

Forest have finished in the bottom half of the Championship table over the past four seasons, but a number of high-profile additions have left the East Midlands outfit as one of the teams being tipped for the league title.

Karanka has suggested that he understands that expectation levels are rising at the City Ground and predicts that his team will deliver exciting football.

The Spaniard is quoted by the Nottingham Post as saying: "The more quality you have, the better you can play. The people talk about the style and whether you are offensive or defensive. But you need to look at the players you have.

"In Middlesbrough people said we were one of the best teams in the division when we were in the Championship. When we were in the Premier League, people said we were one of the worst.

"You need to have the players and now we are trying to build a squad that can play nice football and win games."

On Friday, Forest announced the signing of forward Lewis Grabban, who became the club's ninth acquisition of the summer.
