Nottingham Forest are allegedly close to completing a deal for Huddersfield Town centre-back Michael Hefele.
The 27-year-old, who moved to West Yorkshire from Dynamo Dresden two years ago, was an important part of the Terriers squad that earned promotion to the Premier League in the 2016-17 season.
According to the Daily Mail, Forest are keen on seeing the German fit into their team for the upcoming campaign and will wrap up a £350,000 transfer for the player by Friday.
The newspaper adds that Queens Park Rangers were originally close to signing Hefele, but Forest boss Aitor Karanka has stolen a march on his Championship rivals, with the defender expected to undertake a Forest medical on Thursday.
Hefele will become Karanka's 12th signing of the summer, should his transfer be completed.
