Nottingham Forest sign Tobias Figueiredo on permanent deal

Nottingham Forest announce that defender Tobias Figueiredo will join the club on a permanent deal from Sporting Lisbon on July 1.

Nottingham Forest have announced the permanent signing of defender Tobias Figueiredo on a four-year contract.

In January, Figueiredo moved to the City Ground from Sporting Lisbon on a loan deal until the end of the season, and the 24-year-old has impressed during his first three months in the East Midlands.

Figueiredo has already made 11 starts in the Championship and it has led to head coach Aitor Karanka giving the green light for the player to make the full-time switch to England.

During his time at Sporting Lisbon, Figueiredo - whose move will become official on July 1 - made a total of 22 outings in all competitions.

Forest currently sit in 17th place in the second-tier standings.
