Former Toronto midfielder Terry Dunfield has completed a move to League One side Oldham Athletic.
Dunfield made his exit from the MLS side in October, and after Anton Rodgers was sidelined for two months with a knee injury, manager Lee Johnson felt it was important to quickly strengthen his squad.
The 32-year-old told the club's official website: "With the immediate loss of Anton Rodgers to injury, I didn't feel that we could take any chances.
"Terry has good pedigree and impressed us while on trial."
Dunfield, who has made 14 international appearances for Canada, began his career at Manchester City.
