David Beckham backs Laurent Blanc despite dip in Paris Saint-Germain form

David Beckham backs former teammate Laurent Blanc despite Paris Saint-Germain's recent dip in form that has left the Parisians in fourth place in the Ligue 1 table.

David Beckham has backed Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc in the wake of the team's recent dip in form.

Beckham once served alongside Blanc while playing at Manchester United, with the legendary winger believing that PSG have a great coach and are well supervised, despite a defeat at the hands of Bastia that has left them in fourth spot in the Ligue 1 standings.

"PSG have a great coach who has played for big clubs and won major competitions. They are well supervised and ambitious," Beckham is quoted as saying on beIN Sport, according to Goal.com.

"Ligue 1 is very difficult to win. PSG has great players, a great coach and great fans. I'll hope they'll win the title, but it's always complicated."

Blanc's men will need to catch table-topping Lyon if they want to claim domestic glory this season, with the leaders currently four points ahead of the Parisians.
