Paris Saint-Germain have continued their summer spending spree by signing Brazilian defender Marquinhos on a five-year deal.
The French champions paid Roma a fee of £27m for the 19-year-old, with his former club Corinthians also due around £2.3m because of a sell-on clause.
Marquinhos has declared that he is proud to have completed a move to the French capital, with the teenager ready to swap Serie A for Ligue 1 under coach Laurent Blanc.
He told the club's official website: "I am delighted to be joining Paris St-Germain, a club where so many Brazilians have played and helped write the club's history.
"I will do everything I can to continue that tradition and write my own name into the club's illustrious history books."
Last season Marquinhos made 26 appearances for Roma in his debut campaign for a European team.
PSG have now spent more than £80m on two players from the Italian top flight this week with Marquinhos following striker Edinson Cavani to the Parc des Princes.
