Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has expressed his delight with his side's win against promotion rivals Wigan Athletic.
A first-half strike by Yossi Benayoun proved to be enough, although the midfielder was sent off late in the game.
Despite believing that the red card was "harsh", Redknapp feels that his players deserved their victory.
"I thought we played ever so well and it was three great points for us. It was a big win," Redknapp told the club's official website.
"Wigan are a good side, you can see why they've been on such a great run. They were excellent and we had to match them tonight."
QPR are third in the Championship table.
