Preview: Queens Park Rangers vs. Bolton Wanderers

Sports Mole looks ahead to Queens Park Rangers against Bolton Wanderers in the Championship.

Harry Redknapp's Queens Park Rangers will take on Bolton Wanderers aiming to protect their formidable home record.

QPR have lost only once at Loftus Road this season, conceding just five goals in the process.

Rangers, who are second in the Championship behind leaders Leicester City, have won their last three league games following three without victory.

The key to their success has been a strong defence, although they have scored just 18 times at home and 13 on their travels.

QPR have been linked with a move for Peter Crouch, while young Algerian striker Ishak Belfodil is reportedly close to arriving on loan. Nevertheless, they will be confident of beating a beleaguered Bolton side who are struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Dougie Freedman's team were recently thrashed 7-1 by Reading and are just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Following their collapse against the Royals, Freedman slammed his players, describing the result as "completely embarrassing".

While they failed to respond to that with a win against Cardiff City in the FA Cup, they did manage to restrict their Premier League opponents to just one goal.

However, getting back to winning ways against QPR will be a difficult task. Bolton have lost seven on the road this season, with 28 goals conceded so far.
