QPR chief executive Philip Beard thinks that the club's stars will stay with the club following potential relegation to the Championship.

Queens Park Rangers chief executive Philip Beard believes that the club's top players will remain at Loftus Road if the West London side drop back into the Championship.

QPR, who have been busy in the transfer market over the last year buying the likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips, Djibril Cisse, Nedum Onuoha and Bobby Zamora, are facing relegation at the end of the season.

Former Fulham striker Zamora is the player to have been most recently linked with a switch away from the club, despite only moving to QPR two months ago.

"We were very active in the 10 days after the takeover in August and fairly active in January and I'll stand behind every single one of those contracts irrespective of what happens," Beard said during the Soccerex conference in Manchester.

"If we do not stay up I anticipate the vast majority will stay at QPR to try and help us get back. We've gone into this with our eyes wide open. Our aim is to find a stabilised position in the Premier League over next few years."

Mark Hughes's side will go up against Arsenal on home turf on Saturday.
