Clint Hill urges Queens Park Rangers to "keep calm"

Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill insists that his side can avoid the drop this season if they keep their composure during the closing stages of the campaign.

Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill has urged his teammates to "keep calm" during the closing stages of the Premier League season.

The Hoops moved to within two points of safety courtesy of an action-packed 3-3 draw with fellow strugglers Aston Villa last night, a match that also saw Hill net his first ever Premier League goal.

That made it four points from consecutive away games following their 4-1 triumph over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, and Hill is confident that his side can avoid the drop should they maintain their composure.

"We have dragged teams in to it now, Villa probably thought they could win the game and pretty much put themselves safe," he is quoted as saying by PA.

"But we've brought another team into it and the pressure goes onto the next game. It's about the team and players who hold their head and keep calm who will prevail and stay in this league.

"The positive is we have four points from difficult travels and we're right in the battle now so we're looking forward to the next game."

QPR take on league leaders Chelsea next before matches against West Ham United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Leicester City to complete their season.
