Queens Park Rangers re-sign Jamie Mackie from Nottingham Forest

Queens Park Rangers complete the free transfer of Jamie Mackie, re-signing the forward two years after he left to join Nottingham Forest.

Queens Park Rangers have agreed to re-sign Jamie Mackie from Nottingham Forest on a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old joined Forest from Rangers two years ago but was not offered a new deal this summer, and QPR have swooped to secure his services once more.

"I'm absolutely buzzing to be back," Mackie told the club website. "Anyone that knows me will tell you just how much this club means to me – and the feelings that I've got for the place has only grown in the short time I've been away.

"People say never go back, but I feel as though I've got some unfinished business here and under the guidance of Les [Ferdinand] and Chris [Ramsey], I can only see a bright future for this club."

In three years at the club between 2010 and 2013, Mackie scored 18 goals for the R's. He was a regular for Forest in his first season at the club, but spent last season on loan at Reading, scoring six goals in 39 appearances for the Royals.

Mackie is the fourth new arrival of the summer at Loftus Road, following Ben Gladwin, Massimo Luongo and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.
