Giovane Elber: 'Only Real Madrid can stop Bayern Munich'

Former Bayern Munich striker Giovane Elber picks out Real Madrid as the German club's main challengers for the Champions League.

Former Bayern Munich striker Giovane Elber believes that only Real Madrid can stop the German side winning the Champions League this season.

Bayern, who are the defending champions, host Manchester United in the second leg of their quarter-final this evening, with the scores currently level at 1-1.

Madrid, however, have already booked their semi-final spot after overcoming Borussia Dortmund 3-2 over two legs.

"Bayern are stronger than last year," he told Goal.com.

"We have to wait for the match against Manchester United, but I claim there is only one team in the Champions League that can beat Bayern and that is Real Madrid."

Bayern have already wrapped up the Bundesliga title in Germany.
