Dani Carvajal 'to miss second leg of Champions League semi-final'

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal will miss next week's Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich with a thigh injury, according to a report.

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal will reportedly miss next week's Champions League semi-final second leg with Bayern Munich after picking up a thigh injury in the first leg at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

Madrid recorded a 2-1 victory in Germany to place themselves in a strong position to make yet another European final.

Carvajal was forced off in the second half of the first leg with a muscular problem, and it is understood that the Spain international is now facing two to three weeks on the sidelines.

"I'm waiting for the results but I will remain calm," Marca quotes Carvajal as saying. "I feel a bit of pain but I am aiming to be back as quickly as possible."

Real Madrid are back in La Liga action at home to fellow Madrid outfit Leganes on Saturday night.
