Xabi Alonso: 'Clans do exist'

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso says that the "egos" at Los Blancos are well-managed by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has admitted that "clans" exist in the Los Blancos dressing room, but he has said that the "egos" are well-managed by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The Spanish outfit have a number of big personalities in their squad, but came together on the field during the 2013-14 season as they picked up a Copa del Rey and Champions League double.

"In the dressing room there is so much spectacle, there are clans, but usually they have a good relationship with each other," Alonso told Canal+.

"The egos are managed well."

Alonso was suspended for Madrid's 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid in the final of the Champions League on Saturday evening.
