Carlo Ancelotti: Gareth Bale will be "even better next year"

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti insists that Gareth Bale will be even better in his second year at the club following his side's Champions League final win.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti believes that Gareth Bale will only improve at the club following their Champions League final win.

Bale scored Real's second goal in their 4-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in Lisbon, as Ancelotti's side came from behind to record their first major European trophy win in 12 years.

He told reporters: "At the right moment, Gareth Bale was ready to score and that's how it's been all season. He'll be even better next year."

Bale also scored the winning goal in Real's Copa del Rey triumph last month.
