Carlo Ancelotti pleased with Real Madrid display

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti hails his side's performance in Tuesday's Club World Cup semi-final against Cruz Azul.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has praised his side following Tuesday's 4-0 win over Cruz Azul in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.

The Italian also paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo, who did not score, but provided two assists against the Mexican side.

"It's never easy but the team played well and won. Now we'll see how the final goes," Ancelotti told reporters after the match.

"Cristiano [Ronaldo] played very well, he gave us plenty of assistance and was very effective, even though he didn't score. He's surely saved himself a goal for the final."

Real Madrid will face either Auckland City or San Lorenzo in Saturday's final.
