Report: Cristiano Ronaldo training 'six hours a day'

A report claims that Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo is training six hours a day in an attempt to be fit for the Liga clash with Atletico Madrid this weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly training six hours a day in an attempt to be fully fit for Real Madrid's La Liga clash with champions Atletico Madrid this weekend.

The Portuguese has struggled for fitness in the early stages of the new campaign after picking up a back injury in the Spanish Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid last month.

He missed Madrid's 4-2 defeat to Real Sociedad last time out, but Los Blancos are desperate to have their star player available for this weekend.

According to AS, Ronaldo has been putting in the extra hours to boost his chances of a return for when Real host Atletico in the league on Saturday.
