Rayo Vallecano youngster Fabian Luzzi is reportedly set to receive a lucrative salary at Barcelona when he officially joins the Spanish champions this summer.
The 16-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for Rayo but has trained with the club's senior side in the second half of the 2019-20 campaign after impressing at youth level.
Real Madrid were thought to be in the running for the Brazilian-born forward, but a recent report claimed that Barca were at the head of the queue for his signature.
According to ESPN, Los Blancos ultimately pulled out of the race for the teenager when they learned how much their Clasico rivals were prepared to offer him.
The report does not mention the details of the agreement, but it is alleged that Madrid signalled that they 'would never pay that much for an academy player'.
Puzzi's current deal with Rayo is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that Barca will only have to pay 'a small amount in development rights' to secure his signature for the 2020-21 campaign.
Should the attacker move to Camp Nou this summer he is expected to initially link up with the club's Juvenil A Under-19 side with the view to eventually progressing to Barcelona B.
