Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique appears to confirm that Kylian Mbappe will be leaving the club this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique appears to have confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will be leaving the club this summer, with the Spaniard wishing the attacker "all the best".

Mbappe was named on the bench for PSG's Ligue 1 contest with Reims on Sunday afternoon and was not introduced until the 73rd minute of what proved to be a 2-2 draw.

The 25-year-old has scored 34 goals and registered seven assists in 35 appearances for the French champions this season, including a brace against Real Sociedad in the Champions League last week.

Mbappe has not competed a Ligue 1 match since the start of February, though, and Enrique seemingly confirmed that the France international is leaving this summer with his comments after the clash with Reims.

"I wish all the best to Kylian Mbappe for his future. He's a fantastic player and even more as a person. I really wish him all the best," Enrique told Amazon Prime Video.

Mbappe has informed PSG that he will not be signing a new contract at the club, meaning that he will become a free agent at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Real Madrid are the overwhelming favourites to sign the ex-Monaco youngster on a free transfer despite suggestions of interest from the Premier League and Saudi Arabia.

Mbappe has scored 21 times and registered four assists in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season, with PSG 10 points clear of second-placed Brest at the top of the table.

The forward has also managed six goals in eight Champions League appearances, with the capital outfit advancing to the quarter-finals of the tournament by overcoming Real Sociedad.

Mbappe will seemingly be used sparingly by Enrique in the league due to the size of PSG's advantage, but he will remain a vital player for the club in the Champions League.

A recent report claimed that the French team had identified Barcelona's 16-year-old attacker Lamine Yamal as the ideal replacement for Mbappe.

However, the €200m (£170m) offer that was placed on the table by PSG was allegedly quickly rejected by Barcelona, with the Catalan outfit not prepared to sell under any circumstances.

Ex-Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry has claimed that Real Madrid could dominate European and Spanish football for the next "six or seven years" if Mbappe moves to Bernabeu this summer.
