Real Madrid 'not worried' about Cristiano Ronaldo future

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists that there is "nothing to worry about" with regards to Cristiano Ronaldo's future.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has insisted that there is "nothing to worry about" with regards to Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club.

The four-time Ballon d'Or winner is reportedly considering leaving the Bernabeu after he was accused of committing tax fraud.

Almost instantly, the Portuguese star's former club Manchester United were linked with a swoop for the prolific attacker, but Perez is relaxed about the situation.

The Real figure has reiterated that the club will speak to Ronaldo once Portugal's campaign in the Confederations Cup comes to an end.

"He has a contract with Real Madrid and, when he stops playing at the Confederations Cup, we will talk," Perez told esRadio. "He is an honest person and complies with all his obligations.

"I have spoken with [Ronaldo's agent] Jorge Mendes and there is no need to worry about anything else. With Cristiano, you have to wait, he's angry, he is hurt."

The four-time Champions League winner is due to testify in court on July 31 in relation to allegations that he defrauded the Spanish tax authorities of €14.8m (£12.9m).
