Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring the situations of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar after the Frenchman suggested he wants to leave or be the main man at Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Kylian Mbappe's situation at Paris Saint-Germain after the winger suggested that he could be open to leaving the club this summer.

Mbappe reignited speculation over his future after winning the Ligue 1 Player of the Season award, claiming that he is ready for "more responsibility" which could be "elsewhere with a new project".

Madrid are understood to view the 20-year-old World Cup winner as one of their dream transfer targets during a summer where they are expected to make at least one marquee signing.

PSG have since insisted that Mbappe will not be leaving the club, but Marca reports that Madrid are now keeping close tabs on the situation.

The Spanish giants are hopeful that Mbappe's desire to be the main man at the Parc des Princes will either open the door for him to leave or push Neymar towards an exit following more than a year of rumours linking the Brazilian with a move to the Bernabeu.

Madrid were thought to have given up hope of signing either player this summer and were willing to wait until PSG put one of them up for sale, but they now believe that Mbappe or Neymar could be available.

However, Florentino Perez is not expected to drastically alter his transfer plans unless something else changes, with Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Luka Jovic still their main targets.
