Report: Chelsea to move for Karim Benzema in January

A report claims that Chelsea will attempt to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in January.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will reportedly attempt to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema when the transfer window opens in January.

Despite scoring four times in eight games this season, the Frenchman has come under criticism from the Madrid supporters.

The 25-year-old is currently the only senior striker at the Spanish club following the departure of Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli in the summer.

However, according to A Bola, that will not stop Mourinho making a move for the forward, whom he managed while in charge of Madrid last season.

Chelsea failed in their long pursuit of Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney in the summer.
