Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to leave the club due to disagreements over a new contract, according to a report.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to leave the club due to disagreements over a new contract, according to a report.

According to Portuguese outlet Record, Madrid president Florentino Perez is unwilling to meet the forward's demands for fresh terms in the Spanish capital.

Ronaldo feels that new deal at the Santiago Bernabeu is about "recognition" rather than money, although Perez allegedly feels differently about the situation.

The source also states that the Portuguese forward is concerned about the club's reported approach for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, and wants assurances over his own role in the Madrid team.

Ronaldo's current contract at the club runs until 2021.
