Raphael Varane signs new five-year Real Madrid deal

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane signs a new five-year contract with the club, keeping him at the Bernabeu until 2022.

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has signed a new five-year contract with the club.

The 24-year-old has featured in three of Madrid's last four matches across all competitions after missing the opening three games of the season.

Varane has now put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at the Bernabeu until 2022.

The France international joined Madrid in 2011 and has gone on to make 196 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 10 goals.

Varane has helped Los Blancos to three Champions League titles in that time, in addition to last season's La Liga crown.
