Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has admitted that he does not know whether Sergio Ramos will be signing a new contract with the Spanish champions.
The 34-year-old's current deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and he recently said that there was no update on a potential agreement between the two parties.
Zidane was questioned on the situation ahead of this weekend's La Liga contest with Elche and conceded that the club captain could potentially move on ahead of next season.
"I want to be honest and I have to say I don't know what's going to happen with him. We want him to stay here. He's always going to be an important player and I want him to remain here, that's what I'll say as a coach," Zidane told reporters.
Ramos has been on the sidelines since January with a knee problem but was back in full-contact training on Friday and has been included in the squad to face Elche.
The Spain international has scored three times in 18 appearances for Madrid this season.
