Goals from Harry Kane and Jonathan Lundstram give England victory over France at the U19 European Championships to book their place in the semi-finals.

England's Under-19s have reached the semi-finals of their European Championships by defeating France 2-1 in Tallinn.

First-half goals from John Lundstram and Harry Kane were enough for victory in the Estonian capital.

The Young Lions took the lead when the ball fell to Lundstram on the edge of the area. The Everton man steadied himself by taking a touch before firing low into the bottom corner past Jonathan Millieras.

France levelled the score when Jerome Phojo picked out Jordan Veretout, who sent a left-foot effort past Sam Johnstone in the England goal.

England retook the lead minutes later when Tottenham Hotspur's Kane volleyed low into net following a mishit punch by Millieras.

England will now take on Greece in the semi-final in Tallinn on Thursday, while France face a Spanish team with three wins from three in the competition.
