Rudi Garcia refuses to be downbeat

Roma coach Rudi Garcia remains pleased with his table-toppers despite conceding a stoppage-time equaliser against Sassuolo this afternoon.

Roma boss Rudi Garcia has insisted that there is still plenty of positives to take from this afternoon's 1-1 draw with Sassuolo, despite dropping points at the Stadio Olimpico for the first time this season.

The Giallorossi conceded a stoppage-time equaliser against the newly-promoted outfit, with Domenico Berardi's strike the first goal Roma have let in at home in six matches.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "When you don't score the second goal, anything can happen, including a moment of bad luck or a set piece right at the end. When you're only 1-0 up, you can't feel that secure.

"Now that the final whistle has blown, we can say it was a good performance, better in the second half than the first, and we are still top of the table.

"The most important thing for me is that we are playing good football, as that makes it more likely we'll win games. Sassuolo only had one real chance and that was from our mistake, but I compliment them because to the very end they did everything to get this point."

Roma are currently four points clear at the top of Serie A ahead of closest rivals Juventus and Napoli, who meet in Turin later this evening.
