Rudi Garcia rules out Daniele De Rossi exit

Rudi Garcia says that Daniele De Rossi will help Roma a "great deal in future" after recent speculation linking the midfielder with a move away from the club.

Roma manager Rudi Garcia has dismissed reports linking Daniele De Rossi with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a switch to the MLS in recent weeks and an below-par showing against Fiorentina in midweek only served to heighten speculation.

"Daniele is a great champion, he is still young and can play in multiple roles. He got a pass wrong and picked up an injury. It happens. Nothing changes in my eyes," Football Italia quotes Garcia as saying.

"He will help us a great deal in future. And for the future I do not just mean the rest of this season."

Roma will be looking end a run of four consecutive draws in Serie A by beating Sampdoria on Monday evening.
