Saint-Etienne's combative central midfielder Josuha Guilavogui has insisted that he would like more goals this season in Ligue 1.
Guilavogui chipped in with five last term and, while his preference is to sit deep and attack the box late, has challenged his teammates to take on the creative burden left by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
"I don't think I'm a real playmaker, I'm more of a defensive midfielder who is capable of springing forward," Ligue1.com quotes Guilavogui as saying.
"I like getting forward but my main role is to sit in. I enjoy trying to win the ball back and then, if I can, I join in the attack.
"I'll try to get more goals, although Aubameyang's left and he's the guy who was setting them up. Hopefully I'll get a service from someone else."
Saint-Etienne won their first game of the season on Sunday, beating Ajaccio 1-0.
