Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali has said that the club's French striker Gregoire Defrel is "very well-liked by foreign clubs", but will not be allowed to leave in the January transfer window.
Arsenal and Liverpool have previously been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, who has scored six times in 13 Serie A appearances for his Italian club this season.
Napoli are also believed to hold a strong interest, but Carnevali has insisted that Sassuolo are not open to discussing a transfer for the in-demand striker next month.
"It's not our intention to sell him, especially in January. The winter market is for making improvements," Carnevali told Radio Goal. "We haven't had any official offer from Napoli, never mind one which would please us. I can tell you that he's very well-liked by foreign clubs. There have been offers from the Premier League and La Liga."
Defrel started his professional career at Parma before joining Cesena in 2012.
