Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough has confirmed that he is interested in signing NEC striker Michael Higdon.
The 30-year-old Englishman scored 14 goals for the Dutch club last season following a move from Motherwell.
Higdon, who began his career at Crewe Alexandra, has one year left on his current contract in the Netherlands.
"We are interested in Michael and that is far as it goes at the minute," Clough is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"He is in Holland at the moment but we will be following that one up. But until someone is signed we will never say it's definitely going to happen."
Other clubs that Higdon has played for during his career include Falkirk and St Mirren.
