Oguchi Onyewu refuses to rule out Sheffield Wednesday stay

Oguchi Onyewu believes that signing a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday this summer is a possibility.

Oguchi Onyewu has suggested that signing a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday is still a possibility.

The American agreed a short-term deal with the club in January, and admits that he would be open to returning to Hillsbrough next season if an offer is made in the near future.

"Right now no decisions have been made, but I'm aiming to stay in the UK," Onyewu told the Sheffield Star.

"It's always a possibility that I will stay at Wednesday. But I want to weigh up my options before I make a final decision."

Onyewu joined Wednesday following an unsuccessful spell with Queens Park Rangers.
