Victor Wanyama has hailed the impact that his Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has had on his game.
The Kenyan international, who was also the subject of interest from Cardiff City, joined the Saints earlier this summer from Scottish champions Celtic in a deal thought to be worth £12.5m.
However, despite the fact that he has only been at the St Mary's Stadium for a matter of weeks, Wanyama has insisted that he has already improved as a footballer under Pochettino's guidance.
"He has been great. I have only been here a short time but already he has taught me a lot. He is a good motivator but knows when to pick out details that can change your game," the 22-year-old told the Daily Mail.
Wanyama had been Southampton's record signing until the recent arrival of Pablo Osvaldo.
