Bologna are reportedly interested in signing Southampton forward Manolo Gabbiadini either in January or during the summer.

Southampton forward Manolo Gabbiadini has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Bologna.

Gabbiadini was only signed by the Saints 12 months ago, but since then Claude Puel has left the club and the attacker is rarely used in the starting lineup by current boss Mauricio Pellegrino.

The 26-year-old still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract but according to Sky Sport Italia, Bologna are planning an approach for the player.

While Bologna would like to complete a deal in January, it has been suggested that they are prepared to wait until the summer in order to land their main target.

In a year on the south coast, Gabbiadini has netted nine goals in 34 appearances in all competitions.
