Paco Alcacer has admitted that Spain can have no complaints about suffering a dramatic 2-1 defeat to Slovakia on Thursday night.
After the Valencia striker levelled the scores late on in the Euro 2016 qualifying clash, the match was decided by a Miroslav Stoch winner, and Alcacer believes that Spain lost defensive focus searching for a winner of their own.
"I think they did nothing in the first half. They only had a free kick that, well..." Alcacer told reporters. "And then we wanted to go for the win despite having the draw in the bag, but on the counter-attack they made it 2-1. We wanted the second goal and didn't have many players back and that led to the defeat.
"Myself, when I get the chance I try to take it. There are enough games to turn around this result and I think the results will be sorted once we correct our mistakes."
Spain will look to bounce back when they return to action against Luxembourg on Sunday evening.
