Tottenham head to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday looking to finish the job and move into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Spurs will be confident of going through after a 3-0 win in the first leg at Wembley.
Here, Press Association takes a closer look at the German side.
Sizzling Sancho
All eyes were on Jadon Sancho in the first leg and the 18-year-old winger is now being linked with a mega-money move to Manchester United. Sancho burst into the limelight following his England call-up before Christmas and remains in fine form. He has scored nine goals and recorded 14 assists in 31 games this season to earmark him as one of the most exciting talents in Europe.
Domestic wobbles
Dortmund suffered only their second league loss of the season, a 2-1 defeat at Augsburg, on Friday. They looked on course to claim their first Bundesliga title since 2012 ahead of the first leg, lying five points clear of Bayern Munich at the summit. But champions Bayern joined Dortmund on 54 points after a 5-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
Return of Reus
Dortmund have been boosted by the return of captain Marco Reus, who missed the first leg with a muscle injury. The German side certainly missed the threat of winger Reus, who has scored 17 goals and created 13 others in all competitions this season.
Last time out
Tottenham put one foot in the last eight after a thrilling second-half performance at Wembley. Spurs were second best in the first half, but put that right after the break as goals from Son Heung-min, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente swung the tie firmly in their favour.
Tottenham beware
Just three years ago Dortmund racked up a 3-0 home win over Spurs. It was a much-changed Tottenham team but they were outclassed as Dortmund took a commanding lead into the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's header put the hosts ahead at half-time and Reus scored twice after the break.
