Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Colchester United

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's EFL Cup showdown with Colchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get their 2019-20 EFL Cup campaign off to a positive start on Tuesday evening when they travel to Essex to face Colchester United.

The North London club last won this competition in 2008 and they will be looking for a response to Saturday's defeat against Leicester City with a win over John McGreal's men.

The U's, who have already knocked Swindon Town and Crystal Palace out of this competition, are currently 10th in League Two after taking 15 points from their first 10 matches.

Mauricio Pochettino's side, meanwhile, have won just two of their seven competitive matches this season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Tottenham.

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 24 (vs. Colchester)

The Argentine defender picked up an ankle injury in pre-season but it looks as though he could be fit enough to feature on Tuesday night.

Possible return date: November 3 (vs. Everton)

Summer signing Lo Celso picked up a knock while playing for Argentina in the recent international break and it is unlikely that the former Real Betis man will be available for Spurs until the start of November.
