Emmanuel Adebayor backs Harry Kane to "save" Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor believes that Harry Kane can "save" the club's season.

Emmanuel Adebayor has backed Harry Kane to "save" Tottenham Hotspur's season.

Spurs are currently six points adrift of the top four in the Premier League table following Sunday's 3-0 defeat away to Manchester United.

Kane has been Tottenham's star man this term thanks to 26 goals in 42 games, and Adebayor believes that the 21-year-old can help the team to qualify for the Champions League if he maintains his form.

"He is learning through his difficult moment as well but he is fantastic player," the Togolese told Sky Sports News. "If he keeps scoring two goals every weekend, he can save us. We all have a huge faith and believe in him. Hopefully, he will drag us out of the top seven and put us in the top four."

Spurs are back in action on Saturday when they welcome Leicester City to White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
