Gareth Bale says that it was "vital" for Tottenham Hotspur to win against Queens Park Rangers in the London derby on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale was pleased with his side's 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League on Sunday.

An own goal from Alejandro Faurlin and a Jermain Defoe strike saw Spurs come from a goal down to pick up maximum points at White Hart Lane.

"[It is a] massive win," said Bale. "[It was] vital to get [our] first home win for us and the fans.

"We have quick players on the counter-attack. That's the kind of team we can be."

Tottenham are currently eighth in the league table with eight points from five matches.
