Harry Kane named PFA Young Player of the Year

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has been named as PFA Young Player of Year for 2014-15.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has been named as PFA Young Player of Year for 2014-15.

Kane, who became the first Spurs striker since Gary Lineker to score 30 goals in a season, beat Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard to the award, voted for by his fellow professionals.

After receiving the award, Kane described the achievement as "an incredible feeling", but hopes to pick more accolades during his career.

Kane said: "It is amazing. It is a very proud moment for myself and my family - hopefully the first of many to come.

"I have got to keep working hard, but to be recognised by your fellow players is something special and it is a night I won't forget.

"It is incredible, an incredible feeling."

Kane has also been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award.
