Hugo Lloris has claimed that he expects to be given playing time at Tottenham Hotspur despite being overlooked by Andre Villas-Boas since his transfer from Lyon.
The French goalkeeper was left on the bench for Sunday's victory over Reading as Villas-Boas kept faith with Brad Friedel.
However, Lloris believes that he will be handed a chance soon after settling in at the club.
The 25-year-old told L'Equipe: "For me, it is a period to manage. Obviously I have desire. I came here to play.
"I am at the club, I know where I have to go to. I had a talk with the coach, as he said, and I know everyone at Tottenham wanted me to come.
"So indeed, I am in an adaptation period. I've had very few training sessions, and there are players that I didn't know. But I am expecting time on the pitch."
Friedel has recently insisted that there are no problems between Lloris and Villas-Boas.
