Mauricio Pochettino: 'Schedule challenging for Tottenham Hotspur'

Mauricio Pochettino says that Tottenham Hotspur are finding their schedule tough after playing seven matches in three weeks.

Mauricio Pochettino has said that Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League match against Swansea City will be "another challenge" as the team plays their seventh match in the space of three weeks.

Spurs have lost just once in that time - a 2-1 League Cup defeat to Arsenal - and drew with Monaco in the Europa League on Thursday.

"We expect another big, big game and a very tough game," Pochettino told reporters. "Swansea is a team that started the season very well.

"I think it is another challenge for us to compete Sunday. It is true that the effort was fantastic from players in the last few weeks. We played a lot of games and very tough games.

"We need to compete and make a big effort, but before the international break we need to do our best, to give our best, and try to win the game. It's true that we will expect a very tough game and they have had all week to prepare for the game against us. Now, we are thinking to be ready for Sunday."

Spurs currently lie seventh in the Premier League table.
