Toby Alderweireld demands more from Tottenham Hotspur

Toby Alderweireld believes that there must be an improvement from Tottenham Hotspur after their 4-1 win over Manchester City.

Toby Alderweireld has urged Tottenham Hotspur to build on their impressive win over Manchester City at the weekend.

Spurs came from behind to record a 4-1 triumph at White Hart Lane on Saturday, but after picking up a third successive Premier League win, Alderweireld believes that the focus must be on improving once again.

"It's just a win, we can enjoy it, then we have to work hard again, improve every day and we can have a fantastic season," the Belgian defender, who scored his first goal for Spurs in the victory, told the club's website.

"We don't have to dream too much, we stay with two feet on the ground, work hard and we know we have a young, talented group of players.

"If we work hard and we do everything we have to do then we have the quality to make the difference."

Spurs return to action against Monaco in the Europa League on Thursday.
