Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino insists that his side can put up a genuine challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that his side can challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Spurs were the closest challengers to Leicester City for much of the 2015-16 campaign, but currently sit fifth in the table after 12 games this time around, four points adrift of leaders Chelsea.

However, the North London outfit are the only remaining unbeaten side in the division, and Pochettino believes that another title push is a possibility this term.

"We're still unbeaten and last season we were very, very close," he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

"With some fortune, luck or better finishing we could be in first place now. If we maintain our level and we improve in some aspects, I'm sure that we're going to be up there."

Spurs will face leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
