Jose Mourinho may have to make a couple of bold calls on Sunday when Tottenham Hotspur travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Spurs followed up a 2-1 league loss to bitter rivals Arsenal last weekend with a humiliating 3-0 reverse to Dinamo Zagreb, a result that saw them exit the Europa League.
What made that three-goal loss in the Croatian capital all the more remarkable is that Harry Kane started the game and played the full 120 minutes.
Kane is undoubtedly the star man in this Tottenham side, particularly with Son Heung-min nursing an injury, but Mourinho will be wary of pushing him too far with another start here.
That could mean a rare Premier League appearance for Carlos Vinicius, who has yet to net in seven Premier League outings, just one of those being a start.
Steven Bergwijn will also be hopeful of earning a recall to the side in attack, as will Gareth Bale, having both been used from the bench against Dinamo.
Holding-midfield pair Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele were missed on Thursday, though the latter did play an hour from the bench, and will surely return at Villa Park.
Tottenham possible starting lineup: Lloris; Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Ndombele; Bale, Lucas, Bergwijn; Vinicius
