Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen has received approaches from three clubs ahead of a potential summer move, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 30-year-old has impressed in his short stay with the Bees so far, scoring one goal and registering four assists across 10 Premier League appearances since his January arrival.

Eriksen signed a contract until the end of the 2021-22 campaign back in the winter transfer window, and the Denmark international's form has helped Brentford to Premier League survival.

However, with his contract expiring in June, and a contract extension yet to be agreed between player and club, Eriksen could well move clubs on a free transfer in the summer.

Transfer expert Romano has tweeted on his official Twitter account in response to Brentford manager Thomas Frank's quotes on the situation on Friday: "Eriksen has been approached by three clubs but he will meet with Brentford board before."

Speaking ahead of Brentford's final game of the season at home to Leeds United on Sunday, Frank said: "I'm convinced there is a good chance he will wear a Brentford shirt [next season].

"I know I'm optimistic but I'm also the one who picked up the phone and asked him to come. He helped the team, we helped him back to his football life."

Former club Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing Eriksen this summer, who has recovered from the cardiac arrest suffered whilst playing in the 2020 European Championships with Denmark last year.
