Real Madrid are scouting Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham ahead of a potential move, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on Jobe Bellingham's performances at Sunderland.

The 18-year-old is the younger brother of Jude Bellingham, who completed a big-money move to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window.

Jude Bellingham has been in outstanding form for Los Blancos this term, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.

The England international started his career at Birmingham City before moving to Dortmund, spending three years with the German side ahead of his switch to the Spanish capital.

Jobe Bellingham, meanwhile, also came through the youth system at Birmingham, representing the club on 26 occasions before arriving at Sunderland during the summer market.

The younger of the two brothers has made 18 appearances for the Black Cats during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring three times and registering one assist in the process.

According to talkSPORT, Real Madrid are monitoring the teenager, with a view to potentially reuniting him with his brother in the Spanish capital.

The report claims that the La Liga giants have sent scouts to watch his performances in the Championship this season, while Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be admirers.

Jude Bellingham has played as an advanced midfielder for Real Madrid this season, and his younger brother has also operated in a forward position in 2023-24.

Jobe Bellingham has played 17 times in the Championship this season, scoring three times and registering one assist, while he has also featured on one occasion in the EFL Cup.

Sunderland are in a strong position when it comes to the Englishman's future, as he has a contract the Stadium of Light until the summer of 2027.

However, the Black Cats are unlikely to be able to resist any firm interest from Real Madrid, with the club potentially pairing the Bellingham brothers at Bernabeu in the not too distant future.

Jude Bellingham has become arguably Real Madrid's most important player despite only just arriving, proving to be comfortably their main source of goals this term.

A number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, were said to be determined to sign him over the summer, but Real Madrid won the race, bringing him in on a six-year deal.
