Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he would like to sign Marseille striker Loic Remy this month.
The 25-year-old has been a long-term target of Redknapp, who has admitted that he first attempted to purchase Remy two years ago.
"He is a good player," Redknapp told reporters. "We could have had him a couple of years ago, to be honest with you.
"He has pushed on. He was a player we looked at and I watched him a couple of times at that stage, but he went to Marseille.
"There is interest there. But that is as far [as it goes]. At the moment, there is nothing more than that."
Remy, 24, has scored 21 goals for Marseille.
