Report: Tottenham Hotspur plotting £17m Memphis Depay move

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing Memphis Depay to White Hart Lane this summer, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in bringing Memphis Depay to White Hart Lane this summer.

The Netherlands international was in impressive form for PSV Eindhoven last season and scored the winner for his country in their 3-2 win over Australia at the World Cup.

According to The Express, Spurs have been keeping a close eye on him and they are now preparing a bid in the region of £17m for his services.

It is believed that the London club see him as the perfect replacement for Gareth Bale, who joined Real Madrid last summer.

The report goes on to say that Depay himself wants a move to Manchester United, with his current national team manager Louis van Gaal preparing to take over at Old Trafford following the World Cup.
