Stefan de Vrij will "probably" leave Feyenoord

Netherlands defender Stefan de Vrij admits that he will "probably" leave Feyenoord this summer, amid reported interest from Man United, Tottenham and Liverpool.

Netherlands defender Stefan de Vrij has admitted that he will probably leave Feyenoord this summer as a host of Premier League clubs prepare to make him offers.

The 22-year-old was hugely impressive in captaining the Rotterdam outfit to second in the Eredivisie this season, and has been named in the Dutch World Cup squad.

It has been suggested that Louis van Gaal is keen to bring De Vrij to Manchester United when he steps down from his role as Netherlands boss to take the helm at Old Trafford after the tournament in Brazil.

Centre-back is an area that United will be looking to bolster when Van Gaal gets his hands on their reported £200m transfer kitty, following the departures of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool also want to improve defensively and are believed to be monitoring De Vrij, who has conceded that he is likely to part with Feyenoord when he returns from international duty.

When speaking to RTV Rijnmond, he said: "The chances are that I will leave, I can probably confirm this.

"I am with the Dutch national team so I don't know the exact details."

De Vrij has made 118 league appearances for Feyenoord since debuting as a teenager in 2010.
